Associate Attorney
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions. The Associate Attorney will be working with an experienced attorney, who will take a mentoring role in the candidate's development. This position is a challenging one that requires advanced legal skills and an ability to work independently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000 - $95,000 per year, plus bonuses
Schedule: Monday through Friday (9am-5pm)
Responsibilities:
· Draft Petitions
· Draft and revise legal documents
· Research legal issues
· Draft and revise legal briefs
· Provide clients with advice on legal issues, strategies, and options
· Interview clients and review documents in order to respond to the issues being litigated
· Negotiate with opposing counsel
· Participate in trials
· Provide legal representation, when appropriate
· Take depositions
· Draft and answer Discovery

Qualifications:
· Previous Experience in Law: 1-5 years
· Research: 1 year (Preferred)
· Writing skills: 1 year (Preferred)
· Lexis-Nexis: 1 year (Preferred)
· Westlaw: 1 year (Preferred)
· Familiarity with Various Legal Documents
· Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
· Good Communication Skills (written & verbal)
