Assistant Preschool Teacher
San Diego Cooperative Preschool (SDCP) is looking for assistant teachers to join our nurturing and supportive community of children, parents/guardians, and highly skilled staff (------------/). We are a child-centered, play based parent/guardian co-op preschool who values all children as unique individuals, enriching their minds, fostering creativity and curiosity, and respecting and responding to their individual needs. Our infant classroom uses the RIE (resources for infant educarers) philosophy.
We are currently hiring for assistant teachers in our 2-3 yr. old classroom and our pre-k (3-5 yr.old) classroom. These positions start on August 24, 2022 for the upcoming school year which begins August 29, 2022.
Requirements
Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
Infant/Toddler Growth and Development course is also required, if applying for a position in the infant classroom.
A minimum of 2 years preschool teaching experience, internship or related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Great collaboration and teamwork skills.
Willingness to be flexible.
Additional Skills

Basic computer skills

Our staff is paid for ALL holiday closures. This includes Winter break (10 days), Spring break (5 days), Thanksgiving break (3 days) and all other major holidays (8+ days). This is a total of 26+ days each school year.
We offer health, dental and vision insurance. SDCP pays 80% of the silver tier of medical insurance providers. We pay 100% of the cost of dental insurance. Vision can be purchased for an additional cost at a reduced rate.
Annual Professional Development allowance for all staff.
50% tuition discount for children of SDCP employees.
