The Oregon Convention Center is the largest convention facility in the Pacific Northwest, attracting out-of-town visitors to national conventions, tradeshows and meetings, and local people to special events. The convention center�s roughly 160 employees host more than 1 million visitors each year.

The Oregon Convention Center is looking for their next Assistant Parking and Dock Manager. In this role you will have the opportunity to make a direct contribution in managing and coordinating the Parking and Loading Dock experience. You will supervise a team of talented and diverse individuals that are all focused on creating a welcoming environment for everyone visiting the Convention Center.

As the Assistant Parking and Dock Manager you will:


Supervises the staff and coordinate the activities involved in Parking and Dock operations.
Collaborates and coordinates Parking and Dock Services with clients and Event Managers; Provides policies, procedures and settlement process assistance.
Maintains and repairs equipment used for parking and dock operations, as assigned.
Coordinates facility parking services with staff, clients, promoters and outside agencies.
Under direction of the Parking and Dock Manager, provides supervision of contracted parking services and repair service providers.
Back up Receiving dock assistance; accepting and distributing mail, parcels and freight for OCC business operations and events.
Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; addresses complaints and resolves problems and performs other related responsibilities.
Provides customer service training to staff on an ongoing bases.
Oversees cash handling policies and credit card transactions.
Backfills for subordinate staff at events.
Ensures work is performed in compliance with codes, ordinances, regulations and other requirements for OSHA and other agencies.
Performs other duties which may be necessary or desirable to support the agency�s success.

Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. AND,
One year of directly related experience and,
One year of supervisory experience or two years of lead experience or,
Any combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.

COMPENSATION AND REPRESENTATION

Based on the Oregon Pay Equity Act requirements, Metro�s internal equity review process, and the candidates� qualifications, the appointment will typically be made between $57,577.00 - $63,000.00 annually. The full-salary range for this position is $57,577.00 � $78,299.00 annually.
