Are you a compassionate, enthusiastic person? We are looking for someone to be an Assistant to work with young adults with Special needs and disabilities in non profit, year round agency. positions available: .FULL TIME afternoons Monday through Friday (FULL DAYS in Summer months) - working with young school aged children with moderate to severe disabilities. IMMEDIATE OPENING.

Seattle: We are looking for people who have a great sense of responsibility, an interest in working to make a positive impact in their community and the ability to work independently 1:1 as well as with a team. Our Seattle program works with up to 8 students who are between age 21 and up at a 1:2 ratio, who have moderate to severe disabilities. Our program works around the year full days.

You will be a part of the a progressive program that creates opportunities for personal growth and success for these students as well as building relationships with the public through field trips, educational opportunities and integrated activities.

Job Requirements/Training: Must be 18 yrs or older. Experience and/or education in the field of education or special education is a plus, however, we will train you. These positions require self-motivation and team spirit. Have reliable transportation to and from work. Other important elements are a good work ethic, a strong sense of humor, an ability to work well with other staff and the public, take direction from lead staff, have common sense, a self-initiating/independent nature and willingness; ability to work with people with disabilities. Some trainings will be expected to be completed within 3 months of start date. (i.e., CPR, First Aid, HIV/Aids, TB test) The rest, we will teach you. This is a long term position.
