Assembly Technician
LAXCO is a small, rapidly growing company with a startup mentality. Our core competency is in the design, development, and manufacturing of optical devices (i.e., Microscopes, Refractometers, Laser Capture Microdissection etc.) for clinical, research, education and industrial markets. Laxco is currently seeking a full-time production assembly technician with detailed mechanical and light electrical assembly experience for building high-end medical grade devices.

Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible for performing mechanical and electrical. Responsibilities and relevant skills include:
? Fabrication of electro-mechanical assemblies.
? Maintain a clean, orderly, productive, and safe work environment
? Performing production activities according to standards, process and procedures
? Able to read engineering drawings and follow detailed work instructions
? Verifying parts issued match the bill of material
? Familiar with standard and metric hardware
? Proficiency in hand use of detail hand and power tools
? Proficiency in use multimeters, micrometers, and calipers
? Maintain and complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with procedures
? Assist in stocking, loading and unloading of large fragile products
? Other duties related to care of work areas.
Extra consideration for
? Proficiency in the use of soldering, hand and power tools
? Experience with Microscopy devices
? Experience with cabling, hand crimping, connector pinning
Education & Experience
? Must have the ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing
? High school diploma or GED equivalent
? Technical training preferred
Industry
? Medical, Mechanical, or Industrial
? Electrical/Electronic Optical Manufacturing
