Position Summary:
Purple Orange is an outdoor + active lifestyle digital communications agency with offices in Jackson Hole, WY and Salt Lake City. This is a contract-to-hire position $20 /hr (M-F 40 /hrs week). Ideal entry-level position for someone wanting to learn PR and digital marketing. Full-time hire will be determined after 4-months.
Ideal candidates will have a background or interest in copy-writing, digital marketing, PR, or journalism.
A background in the outdoor industry or personal hobbies that include skiing, endurance sports, or water sports is a plus!
Primary Responsibilities:
The Account Coordinator (AC) serves to support agency Account Managers, helping carry-out strategic communication plans, coordinating with journalists, clients, and helping compile reports. The AC should expect to spend 6+ hours a day cranking away at computer, while also assisting with shipping, office organization, and with agency-sponsored media events.
Responsibilities:
· Manage sample seeding, shipping, and product tracking
· Maintain regular media reporting: weekly, monthly and quarterly
· Media research and target list building
· Story pitch development and product copy-writing
· Monitor client media coverage
· Create and archive visual copies of media coverage using Adobe Photoshop
· Keep abreast of each client’s industry, competition and media coverage
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Strong writing skills and proven writing experience
· Strong, established active lifestyle media relationships
· Team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
· Creative communications approach
· Desire to keep learning and advance within the agency
