Operations Assistant – 2022 Film Festival!

Join our Milwaukee Film Festival Operations Team as we ramp up to our annual film festival! Our goal is to make our community a more compassionate and equitable place for everyone to live by enriching, entertaining, educating, and engaging others through film and we’d like to harness your organizational and administrative skills in a 9-week long seasonal role. Your schedule will ebb and flow between 15-40+ hours/week from mid-March through mid-May, depending on the proximity to the start of our annual Milwaukee Film Festival which will run from April 21 - May 5.

As Operations Assistant, you’ll be responsible for locking in last minute details to ensure everything is ready and in place at our venues during the festival. You’ll be assisting the Chief Operating Officer with a number of projects, such as assembling training packets and procuring necessary supplies, assisting with the preparation and execution of our pre-festival all-staff orientation, assisting with volunteer calls and correspondence as needed; taking minutes at our daily festival staff meetings, and writing a detailed wrap report at the end of the festival to help us improve operations the next time. Pay is $600/week and you’re required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including booster, by the time you start. You’ll be based out of our beautiful offices in the Brewery District downtown but will be required to travel to, and work at, various festival venues. Longer hours during the festival, including evenings and weekends, can be expected.

As a perk of the job, you’ll receive a complimentary admission for two to a screening at the Oriental Theatre (including free popcorn!) as well as a staff pass for the 2022 Milwaukee Film Festival. Best of all, you’ll be supporting an organization dedicated to convening our diverse community and catalyzing positive change. If you have great organizational and scheduling skills, a superb customer service mindset, a calm and steady demeanor amidst a very fast-paced environment, and can travel between multiple venues around the city including nights and weekends, especially during the festival, please consider applying to become part of our festival team.
