Mechanic
We are working with a company known for mobile repairs to find Mechanics within the greater Nashville TN area.
The Mechanic will be the primary professional for onsite customer vehicle maintenance and repairs. They should have a solid working understanding of basic automotive preventative maintenance service and automotive design. They will provide general automotive light maintenance on light duty (noncommercial) gasoline powered passenger vehicles from all makes and models at a customer’s home or office (customer’s preference). They should have sales and interaction skills being able to positively connect with the customer.
Skills Required
Ideal candidate needs 2–3-year minimum professional verifiable experience in automotive maintenance or service for most types of gasoline powered passenger vehicles and light non-commercial truck. This can be with their own business or working for a professional shop.
• Must have excellent hands-on working knowledge of hand tools and basic service equipment
• Must be able to work outside in the environment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist high.
• Must have good physical stamina and reasonable agility to be able to lie on the ground and go to a standing position quickly without medical or physical risk.
• Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency in automotive hand tool usage and electronic service tools. i.e. accurately use torque wrenches, know what type of tool to use with what fastener, etc
• Must be always courteous, clean, and conscientious
• Must be able to rapidly respond to sudden changes in events and conditions.
• Must be organized and time conscious
• Must be able to use smartphone or tablet with ease
