About Us:
LARP Adventure Program�s events are a combination of theater, martial arts, and costume/prop/stage design. If you think hands-on experiences are the best way to learn then this might be a great opportunity for you!

We use the LARP format to teach kids 21st-century skills like critical thinking and leadership through immersive storytelling and transformational experiences. (LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing. Experience gaming is not required.)

We�re now looking for experienced on-site Kitchen Staff for our sleepaway camp August 20th to the 26th.


Job Description:

* Before the camp our on-site kitchen staff will be responsible for creating a menu for the weekend that takes the participant�s dietary needs into account.

* The week prior to the camp they will assist in the shopping for supplies based on this menu.
* During the camp they will focus on preparing and serving meals, managing food-service items and supplies, and maintaining all food-related equipment and spaces in sanitary conditions.
* After the camp ends they will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen area and packing up supplies.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare food items consistently with regards to food safety standards
* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following sanitation standards and procedures complying with legal regulations
* Manage and maintain supplies and foodstuffs for camp
* Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors, and empty trash in the kitchen and dining area

Requirements:

* Food service experience (working for large groups preferred)
* Serv-safe certification
* Allergen Training
* Have a sense of fun (Gaming and LARPing experience is not required.)
* Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
* Ability to change tasks quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Valid driver�s license
* Must have reliable transportation
* Positive CORI/SORI

Essential Physical Demands:
* Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
* Constant exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday.
* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
* Able to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions

Working Conditions:
* Job Type: Full time for 1 week in August
* Location: Essex County Overnight accommodations will be available on-site for the duration of the event
* Payment: $26 per hour (Pay for the entire week will be sent after camp ends.)
