Youth Counselor

Centerboard is actively recruiting for youth counselors to work at our co-ed Young Adult Supported Living Program. Evening and overnight shifts available. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a flexible work environment and enjoys working with youth as they develop and embrace independent living skills.

Essential Functions:

- Providing transportation, oversight and support with life skills to youth ages 18 and over.
- Managing shift requirements and documenting case notes and shift activity.
- Engage with youth, including opportunities to make connections with family, community members or community resources.
- Motivate and support youth with daily activities, coping and barriers to tasks.
- Ensure safety and well-being to every extent possible to program participants.
- Abide by policies and procedures as required by licensing agencies.
- Facilitate support as needed to create an independent lifestyle in a productive and safe environment.

Experience working with youth in group activities welcomed. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must have computer skills and good communications skills.
