Vet tech

We are looking to hire a qualified vet tech/sassistant for either Wednesday 245-645pm or Thursday 245-645pm (or both!). Paws 4 Shots is a preventative pet care clinic operating inside doggy daycares across San Diego. We offer vaccines, annual exams, annual lab work, preventative medications, and see some skin allergy cases. We do not see sick or injured pets. We do not perform any procedures. We are fast paced but high tech, using cloud based software and digital records.

We work with the doggy daycare clients mostly and clinics only last 3-4 hours. We operate 2 evenings a week and 1 Saturday a month. We are hiring for 5-8 shifts a month (Wednesdays, and Thursdays). We are open to hiring different people each for only one shift a week or a couple of shifts a month. Qualified candidates have the ability to handle a fast paced environment and use medical software (but ours is easy to learn!). Strong animal handling skills is required. We work as a team, and all of our staff can work every position. You'll even see our vets up front at the reception desk! We would want you to train at reception and support our reception team as needed.

You MUST have a working knowledge of vaccines and preventative medications for dogs and cats. Qualified candidates will be 100% proficient in drawing up and giving vaccines. They will also have strong phlebotomy skills for the tech position. An assistant/receptionsit position is also open! You will be supported by the veterinarian, receptionist and one other tech/assistant. You will be asked to take some histories for our annual exams and communicate with clients if the veterinarian is not able to do so. PLEASE ONLY QUALIFIED APPLICANTS TO APPLY.
