Who Are We?

Specialty Tutoring is a local nonprofit learning center serving Fort Wayne for 24 years. Thanks to amazing community support, construction is complete on a brand-new facility, and we are ready to train more instructors to eliminate the waiting list of kids who need us!

Our Learning Specialists work 1:1 with kids in grades K-8 who need help with reading, math, comprehension, or writing. Skills are addressed from all angles, incorporating activities to strengthen the underlying cognitive learning skills necessary for efficient learning.

We are accepting resumes now for onsite training during June & July.

Learning Specialist positions are:

+Part-time – 2 OR 4 after-school/evenings a week at our learning center (10 to 20 hours including lesson planning).  Additional daytime hours available to certified teachers.

+Professional – Quality in-house program training provided. Previous experience with school-aged children required.  2 or 4yr degree preferred.

+Long-term – Due to the amount of time and resources invested in the training process, we are seeking candidates who are at a place in life to commit to a minimum of 3 years employment. 

+Year-round & Flexible – Choose a regular school year & summer schedule that fits you and your family’s needs.
