Nasketucket Bay Vineyard is Fairhaven’s first vineyard and winery, positioning to host their grand opening on April 6, 2024 and become established as a local institution for live music, beautiful views, innovative food options, great customer service and of course – great wines! Currently seeking service-focused individuals with strong people skills to serve our customers and build a team of competent and willing employees to manage the necessary day to day tasks of running the tasting room and creating a welcoming and enjoyable vineyard experience for our customers. This role requires excellent attention to detail, outstanding people skills, the ability to multitask, and a consistently positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have flexible availability and be able to work nights and weekends. This will be a seasonal position for 2024, starting in late March for training and ending in November or possibly December. Bartending, server or winery experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-class customer service and hospitality to patrons during their visit
- Sell wine and be able to explain our wines and history to customers with confidence
- Serve wine and guide guests through a tasting experience, make wine cocktails and other drinks
- Greet customers and promote events, specials, products and wine club membership
- Operate the POS system, enter/update customer orders and process payments
- Assist in daily upkeep of the hospitality space (stocking inventory, housekeeping, cleaning glasses, etc.)
- Assist with reservations and requests, wine club administration and database management
- Answer the phone and handle incoming requests
- Assist with the set-up/break-down and clean-up of tables, chairs, tents, etc. for events
- Assist with other projects as needed
Requirements:
- Availability to work nights, weekends and some holidays
- Must be 21 or older with a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation
- TIPS certified
- Reliable, motivated and punctual team player
- Standing for extended periods
- Able to lift 40-50 lbs
- Able to work up to 30 hours a week

- $12-17/hour depending on experience, plus tips
