Preschool Assistant Teacher
Our nature inspired preschool is looking for an experienced, educated assistant teacher that is comfortable working in a play based program. The ideal candidate(s) will be patient and nurturing with a passion for teaching young children, and will enjoy helping children develop their social/emotional skills. We are looking for an individual who has experience working with groups as well as one-on-one time and is comfortable communicating with parents about any specific needs or concerns.
We are looking for either a full time assistant or two part time assistants. Our program follows the RSD13 school schedule. We do have a summer program as well! Pay is based on education and experience!
Responsibilities:
*Minimum of 12 credits in early childhood education or child development.
*2-3 years experience working in a preschool program.
*Trained and current with Infant/Child CPR/First Aid, or willing to complete.
*Be confident and able to lead child-centered activities, including: reading to a group, supervising a small group of children, working collaboratively with other assistant, lead and head teachers.
*Be able to communicate professionally with parents and caregivers.
*Be professional, hard working, have a positive attitude, and be passionate about early childhood.
*Enjoy working with children!
*Be a hard worker and team player!
