Plant Technician

There are three main components of this position: 1) Plant care and maintenance; 2) plantscape installations; 3) customer service. On designated days various customer sites will be visited and provided care for the plants by performing trained tasks such as grooming, rotating and watering. Professional and clean appearance is mandatory along with a good attitude because this is a client facing job.

Plant Care Technician responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Visit customer sites on a regular basis as established by route plan
• Maintaining plant health and appearance

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Plant Care Technician to be the lead on a set group of clients on a set schedule to keep their plants and plantscapes in a beautiful and healthy state. Also to assist team leads on a variety of plantscape installations. This can include interior or exterior container gardens, wall-mounted systems, commercial plantscapes, and more. Providing plant maintenance will require direct interaction with clients, and installations often occur while clients are present. A Plant Care Technician's responsibilities include watering, pruning, driving, transporting plants and materials, heavy lifting, and digging. Ultimately you will be creating and maintaining a beautiful and beneficial environment through plants and providing exemplary customer service.

Responsibilities: 

• Watering and fertilizing all plants as necessary
• Maintaining appropriate light conditions and orientation
• Deadheading (removing any damaged or unsightly leaves, etc.)
• Pruning, trimming, and removing debris from planters
• Ensure plants as well as display containers are clean and free of dust
• Keeping all plants free from diseases and insects
• Maintaining beautiful appearance of top dressing and other ornamental elements
• Preventing damage to surrounding floors, walls, carpet, furniture, etc. from water and/or moisture
• Establish first name based relationships with our clients and check in with them on every service
• Addressing client concerns and ensuring clients are happy, satisfied, and pleased with your service
• Safely loading and unloading the material and equipment
• Recognize and communicate additional Enchantment product needs to grow the business
• Keep client areas and worksites clean and tidy
• Answer questions about our process and firm 
• Provide an all-around world-class experience for all clients 

 

Requirements and Skills

• Have solid plant knowledge and experience caring for plants
• Experience interacting with clients
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds independently
• Able to climb ladders and work on ladders
• Experience using drills, saws, and other power tools, as well as pruners, scissors, and other sharp objects
• You must be detail-oriented; we don’t do good work, we do exceptional work
• Solid communication and critical problem solving skills
• Have a good driving record and ability to drive a van / truck if needed
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
• Have own reliable transportation
