Hello! We are looking for two PT pizza line cooks to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation: Prepare and assemble pizza ingredients, including dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings, following established recipes and portion sizes. Make appetizers, salads, paninis, cold cut sandwiches and pizzas to build guide standards. 

 

  • Oven Operation: Operate pizza ovens, ensuring that they are at the correct temperature for baking pizzas and menu items. Monitor cooking times to achieve the desired level of doneness with the least food waste as possible.

 

  • Item Placement: Apply toppings to pizzas in an aesthetically pleasing and evenly distributed manner, taking care to meet customer orders accurately. This includes all menu items that are created in this station.

 

  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and freshness of pizza ingredients, discarding any items that do not meet standards. Record on food waste log.

 

  • Order Management: Receive and process customer orders, both in-house and for delivery or takeout, and maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen.

 

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the kitchen and pizza preparation area clean and sanitized, including regular cleaning of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

 

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory of pizza ingredients and fill when supplies need to be restocked. Write low items on the white board to be ordered.

 

  • Customer Service: Fulfill special requests or dietary preferences from customers.

 

  • Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the safety of the food being prepared and served. Make sure walk-in cooler and freezer are always closed and latched.

 

  • Teamwork: Collaborate and communicate constantly with kitchen staff to coordinate the preparation of orders and maintain a smooth kitchen operation. Working together as a team is of top priority.

 

  • Adaptability: Be flexible and prepared to assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, such as preparing other menu items or handling all general kitchen duties. This includes cross-training with other positions in the kitchen unless discussed and documented when hired.

 

  • Efficiency: Work efficiently to ensure that orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner, especially during busy periods. Max ticket time should be 20 minutes.

 

  • Complete closing checklist as provided by manager.

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona food handlers card
  • Previous pizza, cooking and restaurant experience desired
