The responsibilities of the Spanish teacher is to provide Spanish instruction, 11:45-2:15 PM, Monday, Wednesday-Friday, for the 6th-8th grade students. The Spanish teacher will effectively communicate with students, colleagues, administration, and parents. The Spanish teacher will create stimulating lesson plans that: build student interest in a foreign language, set fair expectations for classroom management and academic growth, and provide sequential building blocks to achieve success. The Spanish teacher will chart progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and tests. He/She will also share progress reports with parents, teacher and administrator every 5 weeks and at the end of each quarter.

The professional/personal requirements include: A Bachelor's degree in Education, NYS teacher certification with a concentration in Spanish, and character traits that will nurture a positive and professional teacher/student relationship in a Christian school.
