Gulf Coast Music Therapy is looking for an energetic and passionate MT-BC to join our team in serving our Gulf Coast community. The ideal applicant will be an independent, self-starter who enjoys working with a variety of client ages and populations.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Music Therapy
Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC)
Dependable transportation
Proficient musicianship and clinical skills
Strong behavioral management skills
Effective and organized written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:
Plan and implement individual and group assessments and session to meet client-specific, measurable goals
Collect and document clinical data to be used in measurable outcome reports
Evaluate client progress and complete re-assessment and treatment plan reports as necessary
Maintain reliable transportation and transport self to and from clinic space, client facilities, and/or client homes
Manage personal schedule, timesheets, and tax information
Maintain GCMT instruments and supplies with respect and care
Collaborate and/or co-treat with other therapy professionals when necessary, for the best interest of the client
Understand GCMT’s philosophy of Music Therapy practice and implement it into daily practice
Adhere to the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Standards of Clinical Practice and Code of Ethics
Participate in ongoing growth and development activities consistent with Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) professional standards
Represent GCMT at community events and presentations
For therapists with 2+ years of clinical experience: Supervise music therapy internship students

**This is a contracted Music Therapist position that starts as part-time but will likely grow to a full-time caseload within a few months.
