Kitchen Prep Cook:
Kitchen position for someone looking for extra hours on Sunday!

The Sunshine Sauce Co is a small family owned and operated hot sauce company. We make a creamy garlic hot sauce, along with four other hot sauce variations. Our operation is growing rapidly. Since August we have tripled production.

Currently, we are looking for someone to cut and cook produce on Sundays (about 8 hours of work). You will be responsible for cutting all the produce for each week. Then cooking half of that produce. We are a small operation and you will be working alone. However, as the operation grows there will be an opportunity for more hours during the week.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a culinary kitchen or within the food industry. They will possess a passion for food preparation and be eager to learn new skills. This role requires someone who can work well without direct supervision, follow instructions accurately, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Duties:
-Confirm the correct amount of produce was delivered.
-Assist in the preparation of meals according to recipes and portion sizes
-Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment
-Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as directed
-Cook and bake items as needed, ensuring proper cooking times and temperatures
-Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
-Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies
-Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils

Qualifications:
Required:
-Must be Reliable.
-Ability to lift and control up to 30 pounds.
-Ability to work well alone and stay on task.
-Strong attention to detail.
-Ability to maintain a quick and reliable pace while working.
-Cleanliness.
-Ability to follow directions.
-Conversational English

Preferred
-Previous experience in a culinary role preferred, such as prep cook or line cook
-Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
-Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary terminology
-Food Handlers Permit
-Open to working more hours during the week as the business grows.

Hours:
-Sundays, 9am- 5pm

Pay
-$15/hr
-Paid weekly
-1099
