JOB DESCRIPTION; Home health aide full-time/Part time and contingent position available in Columbus areas. Purpose: Enables clients to stay in their homes and family balance work life. Providing support and personal service. Duties: • Protect, sustain, and nature patients by providing assistance with activities of daily living and meeting other needs as required. • Performs patient’s baths, oral hygiene, nail care, foot care, skincare, dressing, feeding, toileting and elimination, and transferring patient. • Measures vital signs accurately. • Notifies the Supervisory Nurse when a patient complains of pain. • Positions patient in bed with proper body alignment. • Assist patient with ambulation as necessary. • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety. • Identifies and communicates abnormal findings to the Supervisory Nurse. • Documents care rendered appropriately and timely. • Reports to the selected assigned facility and is prepared to work on time as scheduled. • Adheres to facility standards as applicable. • Wear identification. • complies with shiftMed’s policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. • The STNA must be able to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of the job description as posted Skills/Qualification: Creating a Safe Effective Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Nursing skills, Health Care Administration, Patient Services, Verbal Communication, Listening, Training, Dependability, Emotional Control, Medical Teamwork WE ARE ALSO READY TO TRAIN WILLING CANDIDATES Certification: High school diploma or GED required. STNA/CNA preferred. HHA certification training. Minimum of 12 months as an HHA aide in a facility or home health agency, unless STNA certified.
