Marketing Coordinator

This individual will serve as the primary back-end support for the Ground Grooves TV platform and brand. Reporting to the two Co-Founders (WHYTEBERG, Gracie Whyte Laura Berg), this position will be responsible for maintaining the platform’s current offerings by producing and uploading monthly content, as well as crafting ongoing communication with members. This individual will spearhead GG TV’s marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions within online businesses and/or membership programs/companies.

A strategic thinker and self-starter, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Co-Founders to expand the reach and impact of Ground Grooves.

Tasks & Responsibilities include:
Maintain Ground Grooves social media profiles and content
Instagram — Create reels, edit images, write captions based off of prompts provided, in collaboration with the Co-Founders, and from scratch. Schedule and/or post in real time at least 4x/week.
GG on YouTube — Support the launch and management of this platform; investigate ways to monetize content, support content calendar under the direction of the Co-Founders; post new videos at least weekly
Start and maintain a Ground Grooves TikTok.
Actively work to increase number of email subscribers for Ground Grooves
Draft quarterly newsletters
Develop “freebies” to entice individuals to sign up for GG’s newsletter
Research and maintain an active database of dance schools, universities, and programs to pitch Studio/School membership to; develop pitch materials in collaboration with Co-Founders
Serve as the Community Manager for GG TV — Scan message board & answer questions, post new content, repurpose content, manage interactions, creating a monthly roundup post for users and a monthly IG post to promote the virtual community aspect of GGTV
Create and administer surveys for GGTV users as necessary
Answer FAQs and customer emails
Schedule meetings with GG teachers and collaborators as needed
Coordinate scheduling and booking space for private lessons
Execute administrative tasks for all entities under Normal Future (WHYTEBERG, Ground Grooves, GG TV, JUMPSTART/LA).

Qualifications
Long-term interest and passion for the arts, creative entrepreneurship, expanding access to quality dance training, and the LA performing arts ecosystem
Highly organized and clear oral/written communication skills required
Fluent in google drive, Mac operating systems, and all social media platforms; previous experience with Uscreen a plus, but not required
Basic understanding of graphic design tools such as Canva
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, dance, and/or a creative-adjacent field
Legally able to work in the United States
Bonus: Lives in Los Angeles and/or has experience taking Ground Grooves

Employment status — 10/hours per week, primarily remote at $22/hour, paid as an employee
