Game Master
The Escapery is a locally-owned escape game business offering Atlanta residents an opportunity to live the adventure using teamwork and ingenuity to solve a series of puzzles and riddles to escape in one hour. All components of The Escapery’s adventures have been handcrafted and are unique to the The Escapery’s experience. While immersed in our games, intrepid heroes have the opportunity to take on exciting roles and overcome incredible odds to achieve success.
The Escapery crew pride themselves on providing excellent customer service at all times, whether interacting in person or over the phone. Game Masters will be friendly, dependable individuals, combining their excellent customer service skills with a quirky nature, sly intelligence and overdeveloped sense of fun to deliver Escapery adventurers an epic entertainment experience. Game Masters greet adventurers, guide them through escape rooms and provide witty banter and tasteful flattery to Escapery guests. Some opening and closing drudgery will be required, but we won’t say a word if you have light saber battles with the brooms or use an RPG derived competition to decide who has to take out the trash.

Responsibilities ✴ Cheerfully greet customers as soon as they enter ✴ Process payments using Square ✴ Guide customers through waivers ✴ Take customer bookings, whether in person or over the phone ✴ Entertain guests during wait time (small talk, lobby puzzle, etc) ✴ Provide an immersive escape game experience with fun and memorable characters ✴ Guide customers through their escape game experience with as little or as much help as needed ✴ Document results of escape games ✴ Reset escape games correctly, efficiently, and consistently, following provided documentation ✴ Perform minor escape room maintenance tasks as needed (training will be provided) ✴ Perform cleaning tasks during opening, closing, and throughout their shift ✴ Other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills ✴ At least 18 years old ✴ Excellent customer service skills ✴ Cheerful and outgoing personality
✴ Weeknight and/or weekend availability (bonus points for willingness to work some holidays) - expect to work Saturdays by default! ✴ Ability to work on your feet for 6+ hours ✴ “See it, do it” attitude, especially when it comes to assisting other team members with cleaning tasks ✴ Teachable attitude and an eagerness to learn ✴ Reliable and accessible transportation required! ✴ Good communication skills (E-mail and text messages in particular) required! ✴ Acting experience (especially improv) a LARGE plus!
The Game Master position begins at a pay rate of $13.00 per hour. Further growth within The Escapery, including raises and promotions, may occur at management’s discretion, though not before a 90-day probationary period.
