Employment Specialist

NextGen Health Services Inc is a small business in Gaithersburg, MD. Responsibilities:

- Conduct interviews and assessments to determine individuals' employment needs and goals

- Provide guidance and support to individuals with disabilities, addiction issues, or other barriers to employment

- Develop individualized employment plans and strategies

- Assist individuals in job search activities, including resume writing, job applications, and interview preparation

- Collaborate with employers to identify job opportunities and facilitate job placements

- Provide ongoing support and mentoring to individuals in the workplace

- Coordinate with community resources and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for individuals

- Stay up to date on employment labor laws and regulations

Qualifications:

- Experience in interviewing, mentoring, or counseling individuals

- Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to educate and train individuals on employment-related topics

- Experience in recruiting or job placement is a plus

- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
