Dental Hygienist
DBM Dental is looking for a Dental Hygienist!
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Hygienist who has knowledge with Eaglesoft or similar software for our unique private practice that has been around for over 30 years delivering excellent care to our community every day. This individual should be responsible, dependable, detail oriented and a self starter with a commitment to patient care. Hourly rate is based on experience and potential team compatibility. Responsibilities:
Perform pre- and post-procedure inspections on patients to determine their oral health needs
Provide patients with instructions on how to maintain their oral health care and hygiene
Assist patients with preventative care, like sealants and fluoride treatments
Perform in-office and off-site dental hygiene services, like x-rays and checkups
Educate patients on proper oral health practices
Prepare and clean treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
Perform minor cosmetic procedures, such as composite composite applications
Keep charting and office records
Be a team player, work hard, be smart, be creative, be a good citizen!
Qualifications:
Active Dental Hygiene license in the state of employment. If unable to obtain license in the state of employment, employee must be willing to complete licensing coursework. This includes American Dental Hygienist License.
Current Dental Hygiene license or ability to obtain Dental Hygiene license in the state of employment. If unable to obtain license in the state of employment, employee must be willing to complete licensing coursework. This includes American Dental Assisting License.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of oral disease prevention practices and basic dental hygiene techniques. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of dental hygiene techniques (e.g., x-rays, general dental care, etc.)and general patient care (i.e., preparing and cleaning instruments). Ability to communicate clearly with patients and other employees.
