Platinum Refinishing Inc spans over a decade of providing exceptional custom & refacing cabinetry. We also specialize in bathroom remodeling . If you have a background in cabinetry installation and are looking for a more fulfilling career which brings a positive impact to the residents of Shorewood and surrounding area, this position could be for you. We are looking for a part-time Cabinet Assistant. This new team member must be trustworthy, positive, kind towards our valued customers and detailed orientated. Candidate must exude these core values, most work is completed individually at the job site or with a small team.
The primary responsibilities will be to assist the team in residential and potentially commercial settings. Candidate will be expected to install cabinets doors, clean and sand doors, use power tools, help with bathroom demo and instal and be able to load/unload materials or tools on job sites.
Job Responsibilities & Qualifications for Cabinet Installer:
• Experience installing cabinetry or wood working is not required (we provide on -site training).
• Necessary skills of handling tools such as; drills, hand saws, table saws, nail guns and glue & clamps to assemble various items.
• Reading & understanding how cabinets will be displayed in the customers home.
• Must have good measuring skills and be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• In fair-to-excellent physical condition.
• Able to work under deadlines and have good communication skills.
• This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a group.
• Positive attitude, eager to learn, dependable, trustworthy and willing to ask questions.
• Having the ability to have good quality control & utilizing safety measures at all times- following good risk management while on the job.
• Drivers license with clean record.
• Travel to jobsites, most work is in the Shorewood area, but we occasionally have work in Naperville, Oak Lawn, New Lenox (within 30mins-1hr drive time). On jobs outside of the Shorewood area, we will expect some overtime in order to complete the job in a timely manner.
Hours for Lead Cabinet Installer: approxim 20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 09:00 - 4:30. Overtime does happen, depending on our deadlines. but very seldom and no weekend. Typically, overtime will stay within an hour at a time.

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
