Visual Communications Intern

Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a full-time unpaid spring semester Visual Communications Intern to join us in our Washington DC office. As the Visual Communications Office Assistant, you are a vital part of the Visual Communications Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general office clerical duties and project assistance as needed.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Manage the production and editing of interviews for social media channels.
  • Perform the following film positions: assistant editor, production assistant, and camera assistant.
  • Perform general office clerical duties to include but not limited to finance, drafting data reports (when needed), and researching.
  • Assist with project-based work and other administrative support as needed.

Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):

  • You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.

Skills you need to succeed:

Demonstrated proficiency in: 

  • Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to:

  • Prioritize, multitask effectively, and achieve deadline goals.
  • Initiate, work, and motivate within a team or independently.
  • Professionally and appropriately handle highly confidential information.
  • Learn and apply other software applications.

Education and/or experience:

  • Current college student with a major or minor in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field of study.
  • Experience in marketing, digital design, journalism, public relations, or similar trade is preferred.
  • Must receive college credit for the internship.
