Role Description:
The Marketing Intern will possess an interest in marketing and a passion for building a more inclusive society. They will be self-motivated, creative, and enjoy working both collaboratively and independently. They will be organized, detail-oriented, a good communicator and time manager, and enjoy planning ahead. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from August through December.
Qualifications

Requirements:
Marketing skills and knowledge of marketing strategies (specific knowledge about social enterprises is a plus, but not required) -Research skills -Strong written and oral communication skills -Social media skills -Ability to strategize and plan ahead -Driven, inspired, collaborative, and positive -Passionate about social justice and community inclusion -Not required, but appreciated: Experience setting up search engine optimization; photography skills

Background:
L.A. GOAL partners with adults with developmental disabilities and their support networks to assist them in living more fulfilling lives through educational, vocational and recreational programs such as Visual Arts, Drama, Music Therapy, Cooking, Adult Education, Counseling, Gardening, and more. In addition, we educate thousands of members of the public each year about the abilities of people with disabilities through art shows and other outreach activities. Everyone who receives services at L.A. GOAL is a “Member,” as in “family member” because we operate like a family by providing caring, lifelong support to 85 Members and their 300 family members/caregivers.
