Paid intern position
We are actively seeking an accounting intern to perform a variety of accounting and tax related tasks, to include General Ledger, Financial Statements, Data Analysis, and Tax Preparation.
Essential Job Functions
Reconcile bank statements.
Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Assist with general accounting closing procedures.
Assist with special projects, as needed
Data input from client source documents
Research and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Integrity, enthusiasm, confidentiality are essential
Strong communication, problem solving skills
Proficient with computers (ie, Excel, Word)
Mental flexibility to jump from one task to another
Internal desire for accuracy and pride in workmanship
Self presentation to match professional environment
Qualifications
No experience required
Working towards an accounting or finance degree
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Must have at least 1 tax course completed
Ability to work required hours, including overtime
Must have completed Accounting 101
Good at solving puzzles
