Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate would work on our operations team, supporting the team in kelp processing, packing, inventory management, order packing and shipping. Interested applicants should have strong attention to detail, be able to work closely with the team as well as individually . This position will report to our Director of Operations & Sustainability.
This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position. This position is eligible for the company health insurance, dental, vision, bonus incentive plan, and PTO.
Essential Duties:
Primary duties include packing orders and loading/unloading trucks
Operate warehouse equipment
Assist in inventory management
Work on the food processing line, ensuring quality standards, and food safety regulations.
Collaborate with Production Manager and Production Lead to meet production targets
Assist in training temporary staff in production
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery
Assist in fixing and repairing equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Follow proper safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Qualifications/Attributes:
Previous experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (relevant certifications/licenses are a plus).
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is preferred.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and lift heavy objects.
Excellent organizational skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues (delete)
A strong mechanical aptitude and some experience in basic maintenance and repairs.
Problem-solving abilities
Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and procedures.
