We are seeking Preschool Assistant Teachers (full and part time positions) who are passionate about early education and want to be part of our unique “family culture” to join the team. In this position, you assist the primary classroom teacher with activities and learning exercises and help them maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students. Depending on needs and class sizes, you may take small groups of students aside for separate activities. Infants - Pre-Kindergarten positions are available.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist Lead teacher in all aspects of classroom management
Help with each child's physical, emotional and academic needs on an ongoing basis
Maintain overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
Manages student behavior to provide a safe and optimal classroom climate
Skills and Experience:
Must successfully clear criminal background without exemption
Comprehension of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
While performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The teacher is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
