Job Description: Front of House Restaurant Work

Position: Cashier/Expo/Foodrunner
Location: Busy Greek Soul Food Restaurant and Coffee Shop
Shift: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day Shift)

Overview: Our bustling Greek soul food restaurant and coffee shop is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our front-of-house team. As a cashier or expo/foodrunner, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. Whether it’s the energetic breakfast rush or the lively lunch crowd, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that thrives on collaboration, fun, and excellent service.

Primary Cashier Responsibilities:

Greet Guests: Welcome patrons with a warm smile and friendly demeanor.
Answer Questions: Be knowledgeable about our menu and confidently address guest inquiries.
Handle Money: Efficiently manage cash transactions, separate checks, and maintain accuracy.
Pour Wine and Serve Beer: Assist guests with beverage orders, including wine and beer service.
Prepare Simple Cocktails: Create prebatched cocktails as needed.
Responsible Vendor Card: Obtain within 30 days of hire.
Work Alongside Coffee Sciences Barista: Collaborate with our skilled barista team.

Expo/Foodrunner Responsibilities:

Organize Orders: Work closely with the line cook to organize and prioritize food orders.
Anticipate Needs: Be proactive in ensuring smooth service by anticipating guest needs.
Bagel Making: Prepare fresh bagels for service.
Prep for Busy Times: Assist with food prep during peak hours.
Run Food: Deliver dishes promptly to tables.
Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Interact with guests, address any concerns, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Prebussing: Clear tables efficiently.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining room and outdoor tables tidy.

Crossover training to step in if a team member has stepped away
Working together to bus, clean, wipe, sweep & do dishes

Night Shift (4:00 PM - 10:30 PM): Server/Bartenders

The vibe gets sexy during the evening service.
Full-service aka table service awaits as we expand into dinner hours.

Qualifications:

Experience: We’re seeking experienced or somewhat experienced bartenders and servers.
People Skills: Engage with guests, create memorable experiences, and be attentive.
Responsible Vendor Card: Obtain within 30 days of hire.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a tidy work environment.
Inventory: Fill out Inventory for beer, wine, liquor & bar mix
Cross Training: As you apply, expect gradual cross-training in all four positions.

Compensation:
Starting hourly wage: $12 plus tips.
