Salon Assistant
We are looking for a Shampoo/ Styling Assistant to assistant our lead stylist and team members with prepping guests for hairstyling and coordinating day-to-day salon activities. This position's responsibilities also include recommending products and services, updating emails, accommodating guest needs, promoting our business on social media, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. To be successful in this role, you should be interested in beauty trends, fashion, and hairstyling. Ultimately, you will support our team to provide quality services and an optimum customer service experience.
Responsibilities:
Shampoo and prep guest for styling
Chat with customers, learn their preferences and build good relationships
Accommodate guests to assure optimum service.
Respond to emails and phone calls.
Monitor stock of beauty products.
Book guests for appointments.
Recommend products and services
Update guest information in our systems.
Take videos and photos to advertise our services on social media
Gather feedback from our clients and make sure they have a pleasant experience in our salon
Maintain an organized and clean work environment
Skills:
Salon experience or familiar with salon equipment and tools
Experience in customer service is a plus
Up-to-date with hair trends (e.g. colors and styles)
Basic knowledge of Apple Software.
Familiarity with social media
Record-keeping skills
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage emails and appointments
High School Diploma or Beauty School Experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00-$13.00 per hour
