Overview

Linda Palo independently owns Robertson Madison. Linda has worked in the fashion industry for over 35 years. She brings vision, expertise, and insight each day, actively collaborating with clients, vendors, and staff. Having worked in all aspects from retail and wholesale, Linda had a vision to bring attainable luxury goods to the shoreline of Connecticut. Robertson Madison has the reputation for being one of the first to offer emerging brands, such as On Running, Ilse Jacobsen, MZ Wallace, Mac Jeans, W. Cashmere and Bevy Flog to the area years prior to their overwhelming popularity to date. She fosters ambition, drive, and a sense of we can always do better in a meaningful way. Her lifelong relationships within the industry and community provide customers with highly personalized service. We are a growing company with a focus of compassion, cultivating an exceptional atmosphere in which to work and shop.

We are looking for initiative-taking individuals, results driven sales professionals for our retail store, with a passion for fashion, styling, personal interaction, with the ability to work independently, achieve goals and objectives while upholding the ideals and standards of the company. The ideal candidate should be sales driven and lead by example in building impactful relationships. Our Stylists are the experts in taking care of clients, selling, and creating a unique shopping experience with new and existing customers.

About the Role

Essential Functions:

• Function as a professional sales associate by embracing the company culture, cultivating strong relationships with clients and building looks that best suits the customer's needs.

• Provide exemplary client service, be engaging and friendly.

• Drive sales by demonstrating extensive product knowledge and the ability to make appropriate suggestions to the client.

• Utilize clientele tools and outreach techniques to inform customers of upcoming events and when new products arrive.

In addition:

• Support the owner with operations by completing daily tasks and maintaining areas of responsibility.

• Maintain knowledge on current merchandise, pricing, and promotions to communicate to clients.

• Utilize selling techniques to help overcome objectives and close a sale.

• Understand sales plans, and how they contribute to the store’s overall success.

• Participate and take an active role in store events and trunk shows.

• Effectively use the POS system to collect accurate information and provide exemplary customer service.

• Plan and prioritize daily tasks and ensure the customer is the top priority.

• Assist with merchandising the sales floor and replenishment while adhering to visual standards.
