Safety Manager
United Tiny Homes is a quality Tiny Home builder in Arizona in search of a safety specialist to work as Construction Safety Manager and help to maintain a fun, growth based and safe environment for both construction workers and office employees alike.
Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of national and state (Arizona) safety regulations
Ability to handle conflict and misunderstandings of safety material with a calm, professional and open mind
Very strong hazard-recognition skills, and the ability to accurately communicate verbally and written
4+ years experience in construction safety and OSHA compliance
The ability and desire to embrace the UTH (United Tiny Homes) culture in it’s entirety
Preferred Certifications:
OSHA 10/30 hr certification in construction-better yet the OSHA authorized construction trainer designation.
Solid understanding of the Cal/OSHA-Federal OSHA regulations, and how to manipulate/compile the OSHA 300 logs.
CPR and First aid certified
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) preferred
Responsibilities:
Enforce policies, procedures, programs, standards, and design criteria affecting construction safety of multiple construction projects aligned with UTH company standards as well as state and federal regulations
Performs standardized construction, quality and safety site assessments
Provide construction oversight of the approved design that ensures accurate documentation, timely communication and resolution of Quality issues with the Design-Build Contractor using an established suite of QA procedures
Provide administrative assistance in matters related to safety procedures
Establish and implement Inspection and Test Plan to test procedures and ensure safe execution.
Conduct safety classes for construction crew and office employees on an implemented schedule with new, relevant and innovative safety information
