Description:

We are looking for an individual that has experience with pulling wires and properly securing in new and existing structures. Must be able to read plans and engineered designs. Willing to follow directions and complete tasks that meet Automated Living’s standards. Complete good documentation of tasks completed and labeling. CEDIA CIT certification is required within the first year of employment. If applicate does not have a CEDIA CIT certification we will provide education and offer training to get complete the job and get certification.

 

Position Overview:

Our Cabling Technician position will require work in both residential and/or commercial environments. The individual will rough-in cables, build support structures and pathways, pull cables, terminate cables, install plate work, install in-wall/in-ceiling speakers, install security and surveillance products, and assist our installers with installations.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Pulling and routing cable in new construction and existing structure in both residential and commercial environments.

Rough-in cables in various environments such as ceiling spaces, conduits, attics, crawl spaces underground and/or basket tray.

Build structure media enclosures, pull cables, drop cable down thru walls, terminate cables, and make proper equipment connections.

Terminate data, coaxial, fiber, speaker jacks and balanced cables.

Install support structures (ladder tray, racks, j-hooks).

Label cables, faceplates, and patch panels.

 

Qualifications:

Ability to handle physical workload. Physical demands include but not limited to standing, walking, or driving for long periods of time, work from high places, climb ladders, and navigate through small tight areas; and lift up to 50 – 80lbs. without assistance.

Pass background check and drug screen

Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Strong attention to detail.

Have required tools to execute tasks.

Individual may have to work overtime.
