Position Summary: The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for the direct client care at Spectra Behavioral Health, LLC. They will follow structured directions from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide high-quality early intervention programming to children diagnosed with autism. They will teach language, social, play, and functional living skills.

General Responsibilities:

● Uphold all Spectra Core Values

● Uphold all BACB standards (e.g., Ethics Code, documentation of supervision, etc.)

● Manages direct (with client) and indirect (without client) time appropriately

● Manage client and company materials needed to complete session

● Attend meetings with BCBA or BCaBA and/or other team members

● Attend all-hands meetings

● Attend performance evaluation meetings and/or performance monitoring meetings

● Attend company trainings (e.g., development day)

● Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the clinic space

Clinical Responsibilities:

● Follow the clinical plan appropriately

● Conduct learning trials with clients

● Record and graphically depict data

● Develop a strong relationship with clients

● Engage in fun, creative play with clients

● Provide assistance to clients with daily life skills and toileting

● Seek supervision when needed

● Report client performance to caregivers

● Respond to clients by using proper de-escalation techniques during moments of challenging

behavior

Administrative Responsibilities:

● Complete tasks to help clinical programming or management of the clinic as directed by any team member of a higher ranking

● Complete documentation for billing purposes

● Respond timely to electronic communication

● Complete time cards in a timely manner

Required Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to lift, carry, transfer, push or pull up to 40 pounds and move without difficulty

● Must be able to walk, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneel

Experience:

● Minimum of 1 years' experience working with children

● RBT certification (Spectra Behavioral Health, LLC will help you obtain this credential if you do

not have it)

Education:

Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Bachelor’s degree

Related Training:

Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and training once employed including, but not limited to: CPR, initial and recertification of credentials and company training opportunities. Spectra Behavioral Health, LLC may help pay for CPR training, initial and renewals of certifications, and other company training opportunities.
