Description

Aaron Center is a premier provider of out-patient mental health services in the Scranton, PA area. An accomplished & stable organization in operation since 1997, the Aaron Center has an established footprint in the local community.
Aaron Center is looking for an experienced psychometrician to administer, score, and interpret psychological tests for children and adults. The psychometrician will work with our diagnostic team to formulate recommendations and treatment plans. 

Essential Functions

  • Assist licensed psychologists with the administration, scoring, and interpretation of tests, including the entry of data and notes to an electronic clinical records format to evaluate cognitive abilities, aptitudes, and personality traits.
  • May also monitor and observe patient behavior and interactions with family members.
  • Work in conjunction with diagnostic intake team and other providers to assess testing options for patients and referred patients. 
  • Review clinical and testing documents for accuracy and writing summary reports and progress notes. 
  • Notifies appropriate treatment team members of test results
  • Coordinates results meeting with patient and other providers when necessary
  • Follow and support company policies and procedures
  • Attend supervision and trainings as required or requested

  Education and/or Experience 

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in psychology, biology or other social science.
  • Preferred Certified Specialist in Psychometry credential.

  Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Needed  

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are crucial, as this position works with diverse teams to develop assessments or share their findings with patients and stakeholders. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to ensure that assessments are free from bias and meet various ethical guidelines
  • Deadlines and timeliness of documentation of results and follow-up reports is inherent in this position must have the skill to work under pressure
  • Organization / utilization of systems
  • Confidential and professional interactions at all times
  • Read, speak and understand English language
  • Computer knowledge
