New Horizons Preschool Learning Center is a growing childcare center in Palm Harbor, FL. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide quality care for children 12 months of age to school age. There is a lot of room for growth in our growing facility.
Our preschool is looking for a team player who can assist us in providing a highly nurturing and stimulating environment. The successful candidate for the preschool teaching position will possess the interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with students, parents, and co-workers. Additional responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, organizing extracurricular activities, and assisting other teachers in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with parents about child's progress and needs.
Encourage children to play with each other, listen to each other, and cooperate with each other.
Encourage children to explore the world.
Assist children in becoming independent and self-confident learners.
Play games with children that help them develop their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language skills.
Promote literacy and numeracy development.
Assign tasks that encourage the development of reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Model and encourage good behavior.
