We offer a fully licensed Toddlers & Preschool & Kinder Prep with full days during the school year. Summer Camp Programs are provided during the summer.

Positions Summary. The Teacher and the Substitute position requires a warm, relational disposition; comprehensive knowledge and understanding of developmental stages of children and best practices in Early Childhood Education. These Teachers positions and Cook position are available beginning February or March 2024. Teacher and substitute position is to assist and or lead our classroom partnering with our current leading teachers, planning and parent communication time included. Ideally the work schedule would be between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm for Substitute and teacher and 7:30 am – 12:30 pm or 1pm for Cook but there is some flexibility with scheduling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

We are hiring for Substitute Teachers for Substitute Pool and hiring for One Teacher Position. to Assist Teacher or Co-lead teach in managing a classroom of 5-7 up to 10 children using play/emergent-based curriculum. Follow and implement the developmentally appropriate curriculum based on children’s needs and interests. Build positive relationships with families and other staff.

We are hiring for a Cook. Assist in menu planning and ordering. Our food is mostly organic, gluten, dairy and nut free. All meals are cooked on site.

An orientation will be scheduled for
- How to Prepare our Day,
- Curriculum Philosophy,
- Meet and greet with Children and Team,
- Classroom Clean Up and Health and Safety.
- Inventory Management
- Routines and Policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• For Substitute a minimum requirement is short certificate or CDA or working towards one and /or an associate degree in early childhood education or a Child Development Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. Previous classroom experience or practicum work, experience as substitute or Assistant teacher preferred or lead.
• For Cook Previous cooking experience, experience cooking for children a plus if not be willing to learn. Be on board with a healthy meal healthy mind healthy body and viva organic. Familiarity with accurate conditions and food storage, understand the needs of children with food allergies, and to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidance. Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare sufficient quantity of foods for center population. Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: TB test result – prior start day.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: First Aid / CPR – can be obtained after job offer.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: Food Handlers Permit – can be obtained after job offer for teacher, cook – prior start day.
• Substitute and Teacher: Blood Born Pathogens Training – can be obtained after job offer.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: Stars ID we can help you with obtaining one if needed.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: Background check and fingerprinting through Merit prior start
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: Childcare basics training and Merit Mandatory trainings done within 30 days after acceptance of job offer.
• Substitute and Teacher and Cook: Meet continual annual education training and establish education goals with Educational Director in continuance with DCYF training and qualifications requirements.


THIS SUBSTITUTE POOL POSITION OFFERS FLEXIBLE ON CALL HOURS, YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT AT A MINIMUM 5 HOURS PER MONTH TO STAY ON OUR POOL LIST OR WILL BE REMOVED FROM OUR CALL LIST. SUBSTITUTE CAN GAIN UP TO 20 HOURS PER MONTH OR MORE HOURS IF NEEDED AND IF AVAILABLE / ON CALL OR SCHEDULED AT A COMPETITIVE PAY RATE
THE COOK POSITION OFFERS 30 HOURS / WEEK.
THE TEACHER POSITION OFFERS A MINIMUM OF 30 HOURS / WEEK.
