Optometric Technician

Johnson Eyecare is looking for a friendly and hardworking individual to join our eyecare team! The ideal candidate would be well organized and willing to work in a team environment. Our focus is patient care, so candidates should have good communication skills, a professional attitude, and a willingness to be kind and welcoming to all patients.

Primary duties would include pretesting patients before their exam, entering patient information and pretest findings into electronic health records, and exam lane setup. Duties would also include answering phones, scheduling appointments and helping to maintain a clean office environment.

Experience in optometry/optometric field is a plus, but not a requirement. Candidates must be willing to learn how to use different pieces of equipment relating to eyecare, including the Optomap, OCT, autorefractor, and Humphrey Visual Field machine. Will also be trained in IPL application to treat dry eye/age spots/rosacea. Must be willing to travel between 2 different offices during the week, both located in Davenport.

NO WEEKENDS, MUST be willing to work 12:00-7:30 on Thursdays.
