Job Title: Ophthalmic Tech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic tech to join our team. As an Ophthalmic tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients, ensuring a smooth flow of operations within our clinic. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in delivering top-quality care for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional care to patients visiting the clinic by assisting with examinations, obtaining medical histories, and documenting patient information accurately. Ensure patients feel comfortable and receive proper instructions related to their treatment plans.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs), update patient information.
  • Sterilization and Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, including cleaning and sterilizing equipment and instruments, while ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified medical assistant program preferred.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting, preferably within ophthalmology, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and work effectively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and tact.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
