Medical Assistant

Synergy Primary Care is an Internal Medicine primary care clinic. We are seeking an experienced, friendly, self-motivated, respectful, and reliable medical assistant! This position is going to be in a solo private practice setting in Irvine. Bilingual (Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required). We are looking forward to your application.

Responsibilities

Back Office:

• Greet patients courteously, followed by rooming, taking history, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, and asking additional relevant questions
• Prepare charts accurately.
• Prepare for notifying the provider any health maintenance item due.
• Assist if the provider is performing physical exams and procedures
• Preferably familiar with and perform Blood draw, ear lavage, pap smear preparation, EKG, H pylori breath test, assisting with suture/staples removal, wound dressing, vaccine/medication injections under physician's supervision, throat swap. We will provide training as well.
• Be very efficient and accurate in venipuncture. We will provide training if needed.
• Able to confirm lab sample collection and transportation condition. I.e. which tube/container to use, volume needed, temperature during transportation, time sensitivity.
• Process lab samples daily and accurately prior to shipping out. Request for sample pick up daily.
• Monitoring, restocking and organizing medical supplies
• Maintain sanitary condition of the office daily
• Transporting and/or reorganizing packages/supplies within the clinic area
• Submitting referrals, prior authorizations
• Ordering DMEs
• Administrative works
• Other relevant miscellaneous responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, organized, courteous and respectful, punctual, diligent, compassionate, adherence to HIPAA
• High school diploma or above (required)
• Certified Medical Assistant degree (required)
• EMR experience (required)
• Knowledge of ICD-10 codes (required)
• Medical Assistant experience (required)
• Able to write, read, speak English fluently (required)
• Able to write, read, speak Mandarin/Cantonese (preferred)
