Math Teacher
Eman Schools, a private educational institution located in Fishers, Indiana, is seeking a qualified and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive math lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Utilize a variety of instructional methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Facilitate student learning through effective classroom management techniques, maintaining discipline, and promoting a respectful and safe atmosphere.
Assess student progress regularly, using formative and summative assessments, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and promote cross-curricular connections, fostering a well-rounded education for students.
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, academic achievements, and areas for improvement through regular parent-teacher conferences, emails, or other means of communication.
Stay updated with advancements in mathematics education and integrate innovative teaching techniques and technology into the classroom.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings, contributing to the growth and improvement of the school's math department.
Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration, such as supervising extracurricular activities or participating in school events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Valid teaching certification or licensure in the state of Indiana, specifically for middle school mathematics is preferred but not required.
Prior experience teaching math at the middle school level is highly desirable.
Deep knowledge of the middle school math curriculum, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem-solving strategies.
Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to create engaging lessons and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes student well-being.
Proficiency in integrating technology and educational software into classroom instruction.
Organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
