KINDERGARTEN TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate must be passionate about preparing a strong educational foundation for our kindergarten students. The kindergarten teacher should be able to use games, art, music, film, and basic tools like Chromebooks and iPads to teach basic educational and social skills. The teacher is expected to use play-based learning utilizing the curriculum provided by Productive Play which uses a hands-on approach to using play as a dynamic educational tool. Teacher will teach writing, letter recognition, phonics, numeracy, and science. The teacher will monitor student progress and have the ability to interact positively with parents about their child's academic and social skills progress. The teacher is expected to submit weekly lesson plans that identify the goals and expected outcomes. Teacher will work closely with primary staff, establishing collegial relationships with staff.
