EMAC Fellowship Coordinator


Empowering Marginalized Asian Communities (EMAC) is seeking a Fellowship Coordinator to
lead our Ignite Fellowship Program in successful implementation and management. This role
involves overseeing various aspects of the program, including participant selection, program
administration, event coordination, and communication with fellows and partners.
Our ideal candidate is a strong project manager who is results-oriented, excels at coordinating
programs, and builds relationships to build up their peers and community to advance the
mission and vision of EMAC.

What’ll You Do
The Fellowship Director, who is based in Stockton, CA and reports to the Director of
Programming and Advocacy, is responsible for the following:
● Assist in the creation, design, and coordination of the EMAC Fellowship Program for
incoming and current cohorts.
● Supervise EMAC Fellows: 2 from the Southeast Asian Youth Power leadership program
and 2 from the 209 Asian & Pacific Islander Homies Circle program.
● Relationship building with the 4 EMAC Fellows, partners, and community members.

among a wide range of players in the state. You works well with diverse or marginalized
populations; can bring in allies across diverse communities
● Results-Orientated: You have a track record of achievement and producing results
(rather than getting immersed in process), perseveres despite obstacles
● Project Management Skills: You stay on top of multiple projects, plans backwards,
anticipates obstacles, identifies and involves stakeholders appropriately, uses resources
wisely
● Commitment to Social Justice & Racial Equity: You recognizes role of race, gender,
and other identities in shaping health disparities, is driven to improve conditions, and
proactively learns re: race, equity, and identity
● Issues Familiarity: You have prior knowledge of or experience in Southeast Asian/API
community issues: transformative justice, re-entry support, immigration, and youth
development.

● Excellent Communication Skills: You speak clearly on behalf of the organization and
advocates for/with community members. You communicate well with others, including
sharing context and asking questions to understand others’ perspectives.
● Facilitation Skills: You have prior and relevant experience in facilitating programs,
meetings, training, and workshops.


If you were here right now you would be:
● Supporting with interviewing and onboarding of 4 EMAC Fellows.
● Scheduling and facilitating regular meetings to support the 4 EMAC Fellows as their
main point of contact.
● Developing the EMAC Fellowship training curriculum.
● Coordinating workshop facilitators for the EMAC Fellowship.

This is a full-time hourly position based in Stockton, CA at $24 an hour (40 hours a week). This
role is a hybrid role with in person training and virtual meetings. Travel as needed. We also offer
