Position Summary

Using their technical expertise, creativity, and composition skills, the Graphic Designer will produce engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of mediums with the goal of inspiring and attracting donors and volunteers.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to and emulate PAWS’ Core Values in all that you do; must conduct yourself as an ambassador of PAWS displaying a proper cultural fit within the organization
  2. Design donor materials including newsletters and appeals 
  3. Design brochures, flyers, invitations, postcards, greeting cards, images for web, social media content, merchandise and other communication materials
  4. Prepress all printed materials and coordinate with printer and mail house
  5. Maintain and enforce PAWS branding standards
  6. Capture and edit photographs and videos for both internal and external use
  7. Keep inventory of PAWS printed collateral, including envelopes, letterhead, business cards, etc. and place orders when necessary
  8. Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Responsibilities

  1. Support other team members with events, tours, mailings, etc.

 

Supervision Received

  • Specific Direction - Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  2. 1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design
  3. Photography/Videography experience (preferred)

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite
  2. Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines
  3. Strong project management and time management skills
