General Laborer

Job Title: General Laborer    Location: Poulsbo & all of Kitsap County

Job Summary: As a laborer, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on construction sites, road crews, or other projects as assigned. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work under the direction of supervisors and alongside other team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
2. Perform general construction tasks such as digging trenches, leveling ground, and cleaning up debris.
3. Operate hand and power tools as needed, following safety guidelines.
4. Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians) with their tasks as directed.
5. Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding or barricades.
6. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in construction or related field is advantageous, but not required.
2. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
3. Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in construction.
4. Basic math skills and the ability to read and follow instructions.
5. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds or more).
2. Stamina to perform tasks requiring physical exertion for extended periods.
3. Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces.
4. Comfortable working at heights and on uneven terrain
