Deliver Coordinator
Food Expeditor & Delivery Coordinator:
Glatt Kosher Restaurant is looking for a Head Expeditor to join its team. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a fast pace environment while keeping an upbeat personality.
Responsibilities:
• Communication throughout the kitchen to prep delivery orders:
• Call out orders to kitchen prep stations
• Get the status on dishes prep time
• Ensure packers and expeditors have all materials needed to send food deliveries as well as dining room orders.
• Monitor food portion control according to restaurant standards
• Ensure customer service by:
• Informing the customer by phone when certain dishes or ingredients have run
• Handling customer complaints, process refunds or oders changes as needed using different delivery services such as uber eats, doordash, grubhub, etc.
• Ensure all orders are completed on time and have correct items, utensils and side dishes.
• Ensure Food quality by:
• Inspecting packing cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes ready to be send out.
• Keeping the food packaging items storage, and prep areas are clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety standards: wearing gloves and hairnets.
• Ensure food deliveries go out on time
• Coordinate with delivery team where and how to take orders to optimize delivery system.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Good understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Great customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced, and stressful environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, assist where needed, and carry heavy trays.
• Proven Catering and Food Expeditor Experience is a must
