Fine Gardener

SEABURY Design is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, positive candidates who share our passion for creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes. We're a growing "boutique" design and fine gardening company, specializing in native perennial gardens. We serve primarily high-end residential clients located in York Harbor and along the Seacoast.

Job Objective:
The preparation and/or seasonal care of residential and commercial gardens. Commitment to use of sustainable practices, and take pride in their craft. Provide SEABURY Design clients with highest professional gardening service. Work will include design installations and renovations, seasonal container planting, hand-pruning, and general perennial garden care - fertilizing, weeding, staking, dead-heading, watering and plant divisions. Must enjoy hard work, being outside, and loves the smell of mulch.

Qualifications:
Ability to work outside in a physically demanding job and lift 50 lbs.
The ability to work in a team environment and take direction and instruction.
Strong commitment to detail, efficiency, and follow through.
Friendly, energetic, approachable and professional.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Sense of humor and positive attitude.
Valid and clean driver’s license.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
Weeding, watering, raking, edging, and cultivating gardens.
Planting, transplant, watering, and feeding annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
Ability to identify plants, spot pests and/or disease.
Meticulous attention to detail, keeping sites tidy.
Deadheading/detailing annuals and perennials. Pruning shrubs and trees using proper horticultural techniques.
