Put-in-Bay, on South Bass Island, is located in Lake Erie, and is a summer resort that sees tens of thousands of visitors per season. The Forge is among the most popular restaurants on the island, holding #1 status on TripAdvisor for multiple years. Formerly a blacksmith shop, it is now open for full-service brunch, lunch and dinner. We are celebrating our 11th season and have completely remodeled our entire restaurant, including a brand-new kitchen!
We are currently looking for high energy, detail-oriented expeditor to join us for the 2023 season! 1-2 years of experience is preferred but we are willing to train. Expo should have an excellent understanding of timing, from receiving an order to plating, to making sure it gets the guest on a timely fashion; the ability to correctly put together a To-Go order; excellent communication skills; an eye for detail; to the ability to work very fast and maintain a clean station; the ability to stand for an 8-hour shift. Applicant should have knowledge of basic knife safety and sanitation guidelines and will be required to maintain food safety and cleanliness standards, held to specifications.
Expo duties consist of stocking your station, plating and garnishing menu items correctly, communicating with front of house and back of house, time management, ability to multitask and make decisions.
